July 13. EU Sanctions on Turkey

The EU foreign ministers will meet on July 13 to discuss sanctions against Turkey. Recall that the EU has earlier imposed a number of restrictions on Ankara due to oil and gas exploration off the coast of Northern Cyprus. In addition, Turkey violated the agreements by supplying its allies in Libya and Syria with arms.

 

July 14. OPEC Monthly Report

On July 14, OPEC will releases its traditional Oil Monthly Report. The recent noteworthy events include statements made by Saudi Arabia, which has threatened OPEC countries with an oil price war if they do not comply with the output cuts.

 

July 15. Goldman Sachs Earnings Report

On 15 July, before the trading session, Goldman Sachs investment bank will publish its 2020 Second Quarter Report. The expected earnings per share is $3.41. The revenue forecast is at $9.01bn and trading in the company’s shares is likely to be quite volatile on this day.
