European Union GDP growth in the 3rd quarter was only 0.2%. Despite the fact that real data coincided with the forecast, the EU is balancing on the brink of recession.

The situation in Greece has worsened, where the annualized GDP was revised from 2.8% to 2.3%. The market hopes that the new head of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, will be able to positively influence the situation.

In her debut speech, Lagarde called on countries to help the economy with innovation and investment.
