Introducing the most complete review of the upcoming week from analysts Olymp Trade

Trading activity will be low this week due to Christmas celebration in Europe. However, traders should still pay attention to a couple of interesting reports and events.

Most important events on the economic calendar

  • Canada releases a report on the country’s GDP in October on December 23.
  • The US releases a report on the country’s core durable goods order on December 24.

December 24-25. Christmas celebration in European countries

December 24 is traditionally a short day on the exchanges, so the volatility can significantly decrease by the middle of the US session. Just like many parts of the world, countries in Europe and America celebrate Christmas on December 25, so only cryptocurrencies will be available for trading. The situation will get back to normal on December 26.

December 26. The PRC lifts tariffs on US goods

China lifts additional tariffs on the list of six US products (polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, microcrystalline paraffin, etc.) on December 26. The exemption will be valid for one year. This statement was made by the Customs Tariffs Commission of the State Council of China on December 19. The work on making other similar lists is underway.
